Frequently asked questions

How long does a comprehensive eye exam take?

A full eye exam at Vision Palace Optical includes a vision screening, eye health evaluation, and time to review your results and prescription with the doctor. We don't rush.

Does insurance cover a routine eye exam?

Most major insurance plans — including EyeMed, MetroPlus, Cigna, BlueCross BlueShield, Medicare, and Medicaid — cover routine eye exams. We verify your coverage before your appointment so there are no surprises. Call us at (718) 998-8400 to confirm your plan.

Do I need an appointment for an eye exam?

We recommend booking through Zocdoc to reserve your slot and confirm your insurance coverage in advance. Same-day appointments are often available. Walk-ins are welcome subject to availability.

What should I bring to my eye exam?

Bring your insurance card, a photo ID, and your current glasses or contact lens prescription if you have one. If you wear contacts, bring the box or note the brand and prescription numbers.
